Proposed on about 97 acres in Chesapeake, Four Lakes offers more than just a compatible use with adjacent residential and mixed-use developments. It would complement and enhance neighboring communities in a way that no other proposal - whether mixed use, high-density or multi-family residential - can match. Cornerstone Homes and its subsidiary, The Crescent Group, have developed plans to reforest and protect under conservation easement approximately 100 acres of the existing, defunct golf course and add walking trails and pocket parks for homeowners of both neighborhoods to enjoy. The community will also offer public access to a professionally-maintained farm with options to pick your own fresh produce, purchase items from the farm stand or general store, or pick up prepared foods at the store's counter.

Four Lakes' developers believe this vision provides the greatest opportunity to preserve the character of the community, provide access to golf activities through a state-of-the-art virtual golf center, offer additional activities and provide more high-quality housing options for active adults. Development plans would incorporate naturally landscaped buffer areas and existing water features and make additional topographic adjustments to provide privacy, manage stormwater and protect property within Four Lakes and adjacent communities. The natural, organic produce operations on multiple acres along Cahoon Parkway would further strengthen the area's resilience while providing access to an environmentally-friendly amenity.
